Web Design Dallas Texas

Website Design & development :

Commercial Web Development has been around for many years now. However, as compared to other industries in the market who are established since centuries, this one is fairly young. But relative youth can’t be an excuse for not performing better.
This is evident from the number of websites that go for renovation every day. It clearly means that quality of work is compromised due to many a factors - be it the use of traditional approach, lack of knowledge & skill, not being able to keep pace with the fast-growing trends, or lack, or rather absolutely no set’n’standaradised approach applied towards web development.
Finding the right line of track, however, is not easy, and applying & making it work in the real world is even harder!

Here is an SDLC presented in the form of simple series: [ maybe of help to anyone :-) ]

1. Requirement analysis – The very first and the very critical! This is an initial project-wide activity. Without the complete understanding of the client’s requirements, a project cannot take off. A clear understanding of what the website is all about is a must for a designer and for a web developer to know.
2. Plan & Build the Object Model – The next step would be to plan & jot down the complete design and development model/structure of the website and hand over to both, the designing & development teams. What is recommended is to select the language of the client throughout the business domain. It might sound obvious, but can’t be ignored as this is the stage where the confusion arises & lasts till the completion.
3. Code & Build – The next step involves the actual coding where the design will be translated in actual programs. Plans will start taking a shape! Existing documents gets converted into HTML. Content and graphics are loaded. Forms are created & scripts are embedded. Links are inserted, And, a Web Server is created and pointed to the domain ( home page).
4. Debugging – A project created & delivered on time is futile if it comprises of bugs and errors. Testing & debugging is an ongoing activity which is performed at the end of each module, through out the project life cycle. An error or a bug, when identified early not only lowers the project incur cost but also minimizes any chances of confusion that may arise.
5. Deploy – After the thorough round of testing and debugging, the project is ready to be deployed. Deployment refers to the process where the web site is migrated to a functional environment/published.
6. Maintenance – A Web site, an organization’s internet identity flies high only when it is taken care of, like a baby!
Trends/Updations required at the website, be it at the Product section, Contact address or any other are acted upon immediately. Developers (Designing Companies) usually enter into an AMC with project owners.

Conclusion:

The World Wide Web is an interactive information database. Unprecedented in scale and accessibility, it has made products, services, news, knowledge, opinions, facts, figures and other computer-supported data available & acquirable in any part of the world. Given the vastness of the space represented by the Web, only the best web sites can expect to survive. Unbefitting technologies and methodologies employed to build up a website leads to its sudden (and an obvious, in most cases) downfall, draining away all the time, effort and money that was put into to it. For a website to endure, it’s the proficiency with which the package has been brought into shape, makes the difference.

So, make sure you choose the right website design & development company.
